Brunello Campo Marzio
The balanced & profound one!
The Campo Marzio impresses with its complexity, body, and at the same time balanced character. Used oak underlines this depth and harmony, while new oak strengthens the body of the wine. The old vines reveal themselves from the very first sip: irresistibly juicy and concentrated.

cru name and its meaning:
In ancient Rome Campo Marzio ("Champ de Mars") was an old battlefield and the scene of many great preparations for war. The Cru "Campo Marzio" is our little warrior, the vineyard with the oldest vines and longest history. A wine with staying power.
vineyard and its particularity:
The vineyard of our Cru “Campo Marzio” has the most stable and balanced climate due to its natural amphitheater shape. The location is very protected, as it is largely surrounded by forests.
The vineyard is the most historic of all, as vines planted here date back to 1958.
terroir and its influence:
The terroir here in Campo Marzio is one of the most varied of all. It is the loamiest soil, with the highest proportion of clay, but at the same time stony and calcareous and in some places rich in slate.
The soils hold rainwater to varying extents, but this has little effect on the deep-rooted vines, which are more than 60 years old. No matter if there are long dry periods or wet vintages the vines cope with it easily.
